The Gospel of Matthew 8:5-11

I will come and cure him

Literally in verse 7 it is written, Having come, I will heal him. Two verbs, èrchomai, "I come, I reach, I enter, I step in, I go back to," and therapèuo –  of Sanskrit origin, whose main meaning is "to keep alive", "to care, serve, help, assist, cure, heal" –  are used to perfectly summarize the work, the task, the mandate and mission of Jesus: to come and help us, to visit and cure us, to live with us and heal us, stay with us to keep us alive.
The presence of Jesus is always healing, therapeutic, restorative and healthful. Remaining in Jesus with our thoughts and hearts is always and foremost healing and restorative. The Gospel, if properly understood, is first a book of instructions for the healing of every human disease and injury. It is a healing, therapeutic book, a divine inspiration to cure and restore man from within. Jesus came to visit the earth with His incarnation to cure humanity at any level and in all its dimensions, to elevate it toward a wonderful evolution. Humanity responded by killing Jesus twice, and the second death was more vicious and violent than the first. Jesus' first death was by nailing Him to a cross, the second was by considering and announcing His Gospel as a text in order to found a new religion, institutions and hierarchies, instead of announcing it to the world as the book of health and joy. This was the highest betrayal of the Gospel and Jesus.
But no violence and no treachery, no deception, no power on earth can ever stop the divine mandate that Jesus embodied in His mercy and infinite compassion. Jesus is coming back, and He will heal us all, He will heal all who have decided in their hearts to be healed by the Lord of life, for a new and wonderful life.
