The Gospel of Matthew 15:29-37

Seven baskets

Humanity thought it was intelligent and convenient to get rid of Jesus, the person who had the power to heal every disease and illness, and so it eliminated Him quickly and violently. At the same time however, it also got rid of the only one who could reveal the knowledge and procedures indicating how to succeed where everyone and everything else had failed before: healing disease and illness. So humanity’s enemy filled his six baskets, the ones of suffering and pain, to overflowing. Humanity thought it was intelligent and convenient to get rid of Jesus and His powerful, effective evangelical procedures, but in doing so, it also got rid of the wisdom and the divine power of knowledge necessary for man to live in full wellbeing, wealth, peace, happiness and health. In that way way, humanity’s six baskets, the ones of ignorance, stupidity and lack of awareness, were filled to brimming. Humanity thought it was intelligent and convenient to get rid of Jesus and the regenerating energy of His loving presence, but in doing so, it also got rid of the tender, revitalizing energy of His infinite compassion and mercy as well as the liberating and pacifying experience of forgiveness to be offered and to be received. In that  way, humanity’s six baskets, the ones of fear, anger and violence, were filled to brimming. Humanity thought it was intelligent and convenient to get rid of Jesus and the saving and healing power of His Word, but in doing so, it also got rid of the only one who, amongst all the Messiahs invoked by the people, could really save and heal everything and everyone. In that way, humanity’s six baskets, the ones of pain and sorrow, were filled to brimming. Humanity thought it was intelligent and convenient to get rid of Jesus in any possible way/context: social, political, scientific, religious, cultural, economic, but in doing so, it got also rid of the only one who could give the necessary knowledge and energies to allow humanity to evolve and learn how to manage and distribute the wealth and resources of each man and of the planet in an harmonious, simple, rewarding, joyful, effective, enjoyable way. In that way, humanity’s six baskets, the ones of misery and oppression, were filled to brimming. Humanity got rid of Jesus’  tender hands, and thus enslaved itself to someone else. Humanity got rid of Jesus’ Word, letting itself become deceived by someone else’s word. Humanity got rid of Jesus’ love, and so it felt lonely, terribly lonely, alone with someone else’s solitude. Humanity got rid of Jesus’ thoughtful providence, and let itself be crushed and oppressed by someone else’s mortal attention. In that way, humanity’s six baskets, the ones of famine, poverty, and desolation, were filled to brimming.
Humanity got rid of Jesus’ saving, healing therapy, subjecting itself to the care of someone else who made it chronically ill, hopelessly exhausted, and permanently wounded. Humanity got rid of Jesus’ soothing, protective embrace, and came to know the essence of desperation and fear, the apotheosis of sadness and conflict. Humanity thought it was intelligent and convenient to get rid of Jesus, but no intelligence was added to its understanding and no advantage was found for its existence. Humanity thought it was intelligent and convenient to get rid of Jesus, but in doing so, it distanced itself from its own salvation and bright evolution, and its baskets were without wellbeing and peace. Humanity wanted to get rid of Jesus, but Jesus does not want to get rid of humanity and, with endless patience, desires to once again take His children to the mountaintop of His compassion, where everyone can be healed and saved in spirit, psyche, and body and be fed with the gift of His fullness. Jesus does not wish to get rid of humanity; instead He desires to give His children the seven baskets full of His peace and joy. But the seven baskets of joy and peace that Jesus wishes to give to humanity are full of all the gifts prepared for the children of this generation who, with humility, intelligence, courage, love and dedication, must put at the disposition of humanity without any thought of prestige, avidity, power: they are full of the gifts that Jesus can multiply and fill to overflowing.
