Twenty-seventh Week in Ordinary Time

Word for today
The Gospel of Luke 11:27-28

It is all

To Mary, the Mother of Jesus, and to Jesus, the Son, the words of the woman are a beautiful, spontaneous, passionate vibrant cry, a solemn and moving blessing: Blessed is the womb that carried you and the breasts at which you nursed! It is a cry inspired by the beauty, the grace, the loving, saving power, the sovereign peace that spring from each word and deed of the Lord made man, so gentle and wise, good and just, mild and powerful. A cry full of blessing, praise, gratitude and awe for Jesus, a cry that at least at that time, humanity was not able to quiet and no one  was able to silence.
Jesus is pleased, smiles, caresses with his gaze and then, as always, He inspires to change, extends the vision beyond, opening it to new perspectives, predisposes to higher truths. God the Father, in the words of the Son Jesus, reveals to us the link that above all creates unity with Him and ensures our happiness:
Rather, blessed are those who hear the word of God and observe it. In every corner of the earth and of human history, listening to, knowing, loving Jesus' Word and putting it into practice is the only and supreme way for each of us to be united with God and to be blessed, happy, and to enjoy true well-being and evolution. It is not by belonging to a religious tradition or following a particular devotion or ritual that opens the door to unity with God and happiness, but only listening with love to Jesus' Word and putting it into practice. There is no doubt that the generations who came before Jesus had, by gift of the Spirit, the opportunity to know the heart of the Word of the Son in their hearts and the possibility to put it into practice, but our generation, we who have been able to listen to His word from His own voice in all its fullness, have had a unique opportunity not enoyed by other generations. Listening and putting Jesus' Word into practice is beyond everything forever for each one of us.
