Word for today
The Gospel of Luke14:25-33

Who loves who

For those who love the car engine more than the car itself, it makes no sense to have a car.
For those who love the car more than the journey, it makes no sense to travel.
Those who love traveling more than the land they are going through,
can never know what it means
to have Mother Earth within themselves and at their side on their journey,
and if they do not like Mother Earth, they do not like anything which stands upon the earth.

For those who love clothes more than their bodies, it makes no sense to have a body.
For those who love their bodies more than their lives, it makes no sense to be alive.
Those who love their own lives more than the One who created life,
can never know what it means to love life and be loved by life,
and those who do not love life cannot be happy and cannot make anyone happy.

For those who like bricks more than the house, it makes no sense to build a house.
For those who love the house more than the family that lives in it,
it makes no sense to make a family.
Those who love their families and family bonds
more than the One who created them and their family members,
can never know what it means to love the Creator and feel loved by the Creator,
and those who do not love the Creator do not love anyone or anything.

For those who love the binding of a book more than the book itself, it makes no sense to have a book.
For those who love the letters of a book more than the knowledge
that the words of the book convey, it makes no sense to read the book.
Those who love knowledge more than Wisdom to which knowledge belongs,
can never know what it means to love Wisdom
and be loved by Wisdom,
and those who do not love Wisdom and are not loved by Wisdom,
do not know where to go to reach the light of everlasting life.
