Seventh Day in the Octave of Christmas

Word for today
The Gospel of John 1:1-18

It has already taken place

The light shines in the darkness, literally it is written: the light shines in the darkness. And the darkness has not overcome it: literally it is written: and the darkness did not grasp/welcome it.
It has already taken place. It has already taken place but we are unaware of it and only when we become aware of it will we be able to live it and use its energy, potential and potentiality. This is what we read in the  evangelical texts, and we have been repeating it with millions of words for two millennia. We know it with our minds, but we are still not entirely aware.
It has already taken place but we do not want to accept it; it has already happened but we do not want to be aware. The light shines in the darkness and the darkness did not grasp/welcome it. It has already taken place; the light shines in the darkness but the darkness  does not grasp it, it does not welcome it. Our eyes see it every day,  but they cannot see it, our minds think about  it constantly, but are incapable of recognizing  it. The light shines, but we are unable to become aware of its presence; the darkness did not welcome the light nor was it able to grasp it, and we are unable to accept it. The light is shining everywhere but the state of ignorance and of rebellion impedes us from loving, seeing, using it for our  and everyone else’s advantage/wellbeing. The darkness did not accept the light and did not succeed in grasping it  but deception and megalomania impede us from understanding it in a serene way or on a deep level.
It has already taken place and it is already a reality, but God cannot grab us by the hair nor can Love force us to feel. Not being aware of the presence and of the splendor of God’s light makes us incapable of living with and for love and extinguishes our faith and trust in Him and in our desire for goodness and happiness and distances us drastically from every peaceful, luminous evolution.
Not being aware that the darkness did not accept the light and did not succede in grasping it makes us incapable of seeing the evil that the enemy is planting with both hands in our lives beneath the shroud which bears the name of liberty, peace justice, and safety.  Not being aware that the darkness rejected the light makes us incapable of facing and exposing the plans of the malignant enemy.
It has already taken place but the slowness of our reaction is delaying our evolution and is also making it easier on the enemy to deceive us when he uses the voice of the powerful of the earth who are at his service and who promise a radiant future of liberty, security, and wellbeing for everyone but who instead endeavor,  out of personal interest, to subject and enslave peoples  and to butchering the poor.
It has already happened; the light shines and the darkness has already chosen: it did not welcome the light nor did it grasp it. Now it is our turn to become aware that we are no longer slaves of any human, economic, or political power but  that we are servants of Love and children of God. Not it is our turn to become joyously aware.
