Seventeenth Sunday of Ordinary Time – Year B

Word for today
The Gospel of John 6:1-15

To eat

If you nourish your body with spoiled food, it will decay and you will get sick.
If you nourish your body with healthy food, it will keep its splendor and life.
If you nourish your mind with distrust, your heart will gradually lose all of its optimism and its little faith  and your muscles will lose elasticity and resiliency
If you nourish your mind with judgmental thoughts, your heart will gradually become a court, your soul a cage, and your eyes will lose their sight and vision.
If you nourish your thoughts about other people’s expectations needing to be satisfied at all costs, your heart will empty itself of every possibility of loving and it will become hysterical just as your joints will become weak and painful.
If you nourish your mind with thoughts that are critical regarding yourself and others, your heart will become cold, vacant, and fanatic just like death, your immune system will become weak and ineffective
If you nourish your mind with thoughts of forgiveness always and in any case, your soul will be strong and radiant, your body healthy and shining.
