Seventh Week of Easter

Word for today
The Gospel of John 17:1-11a

Yours

They belonged to you, and you gave them to me. In Jesus' heart, in His mind and in His words we are those who belonged to you, Father, and you gave them to me. We are yours of the Father and the ones who the Father gave to Jesus. We belong to God, we are part of God, we are inside God, we are for God, we are with God. We belong to God the Father and God the Father has entrusted us to the love, protection, defense, light, wisdom, with the power of His Son, Jesus, and He has entrusted us to the almighty wings of the Holy Spirit, the Paraclete, the Defender, the CounselorThat is why when we read the words written by other human beings our eyes look inside the words in order to understand, but when we read the Gospel, the words of God look into our eyes and souls to make us understand.
We can choose death, but we belong to life.
We can choose fear, but we belong to love.
We can choose revenge, but we belong to forgiveness.
We can choose possession, but we belong to sharing.
We can choose arrogance, but we belong to gratitude.
We can choose stupidity, but we belong to intelligence.
We can choose suspension/uncertainty, but we belong to peace.
We can choose the Evil One, but we belong to the Holy One.
