The Triumph of the Cross

Word for today
The Gospel of John 3:13-17

False

Any religious belief, theological opinion, doctrinal reflection, confessional theory, catechesis, belief or tradition that has revealed or still intends to reveal God's face to humanity that discloses a God who judges and condemns does not show the same face of God that Jesus revealed.
When men proclaim God to other men, they almost always announce a false one, even if the announcement begins with a sincere heart and is based on the light of inspired words because humans easily give in to two great temptations that poison it. The first temptation is to please human beings, the second one is to frighten them.
Under the influence of the first temptation, the announcement is betrayed because the face of God is stylized for the sake of approval, confirmed by the latest trend, adapted to popular consensus, adjusted to gain greater appreciation and approval. This announcement generates weak, ignorant, easily fooled people. Under the influence of the second temptation, the announcement is poisoned because the face of God is distorted to frighten people, to strike terror, to generate fear, to create obsessions, agony, panic, anxiety. This announcement generates destabilized, easily enslaved people. The reasons why those who announce the face of God give in to these temptations are many and diverse, but the result is certain: humanity does not have the opportunity to know the true God but only a fake one.
Besides trying to announce God to the people with a sincere, loving spirit without any attempt to gain prestige or power, they can purify their announcement as much as possible by adhering to the word of Jesus, to be adherent to His Word. The Word of Jesus, which is the heart of Jesus' message, can be betrayed by betraying the words, terms, that is, by changing the meaning out of ignorance or presumption. Jesus with His Word and His words reveals to mankind the true face of God: (v. 16-17) For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him may not perish but might have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn - to be truthful, the Gospel does not write to condemn but to judge, the Greek word is Krino -  the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.
Jesus' God does not judge or condemn, but loves men beyond imagination and gives His Son, although He knew how He would be treated in the end, so that, by believing and putting into practice the procedures of His Gospel, mankind can find the road of life, health, peace, happiness.
